What’s hot this Autumn/Winter?

From the hottest colours to the best product buys, Martin Quenault, salon director and KH Hair Creative Team member, shares his tips for getting your hair in the best shape for Autumn and Winter.

Color Fresh Masks

Look out for low partings, low ponytails, plaits and full fringes. Seventies down do’s with waves and big bouncy blow dries are also a popular trend for this Autumn. Sharp bobs are here to stay and always a strong look for Christmas.  We will see some modern finger waving and short-textured crops around too.

Accessories will be big this season.

Think headbands and bows and, for Christmas, sparkly clips, slides and pearls in the hair.

Copper tones, natural caramel highlights and bold strong colours will be in abundance alongside pinks, violets and brighter reds. Look out for the new Wella colour masks available in salon which are great for a bright, semi-permanent look that will wash out – great for those clients who like a regular change. Block colour with strips at the front is very on trend as are rich chocolate and espresso colours.

With all the home colours that we’ve been correcting following lockdown, these darker tones are perfect for covering over home disasters.

I love the new Christmas Cracker Sebastian Dark Oil and Wella Lux Oil which are available in the salon. Oil is always good for the hair in Winter as it keeps it conditioned, shiny and protected from the elements. Wella System Professional Hydrate and Colour gift sets are available too.

These are great as presents or even just to treat yourself.

Hydrate is an amazing range which adds moisture to your hair – perfect for the Winter months. The colour range is a must to keep those new Winter tones locked in to your hair.

Salon conditioning masks and emulsions will also help keep your hair in top condition through the Winter months, so be sure to ask for one of these when visiting the salon.
