KH Hair keep it in the family for Cancer Research UK

Skydive Cancer Research

KH Hair Group managing director, Darren Messias and KH Hair Hinckley salon director, Helen Fuller, have expressed great pride in their young sons, who are taking on the challenge of a charity skydive this summer.

Noah Messias (16) and Harry Fuller (19) are braving the dive at Langar Airfield on Thursday 6th August to raise money for Cancer Research UK, KH Hair’s official charity partner for 2026.

Darren says he’s extremely proud of Noah for wanting to raise money for such an important and fantastic charity. “Obviously, my wife Heidi and I are a little nervous about the prospect of our son jumping out a plane!” he says, “But it’s been on his bucket list for a while and, with Cancer Research being our company charity partner, he couldn’t be doing it for a more worthwhile cause.”

Helen echoes Darren’s mixed feelings. “I’m very proud and very nervous,” she says. “My husband did a parachute jump not long after we met and talking about it peaked Harry’s interest. He’s wanted to do one for about three years, but I didn’t want him to do it on his own and certainly didn’t want my husband to do it again at his age! KH Hair’s partnership with Cancer Research UK gave us the perfect reason to go ahead and, when we heard Noah was doing it, we felt it would be great for Harry to have someone to jump with.

“I would never have the courage to do something like this. I will be nervous for him on the day but I know he will be so proud of himself. I find fundraising quite awkward as I don’t like asking for donations, but if we could get to Harry’s target, it would be amazing!”

Noah says the cause is very close to his heart. “People in my family have been affected by cancer so that’s why I believe this is such a worthy cause,” he says. “My goal is to raise £500 but I would love to raise even more. I must admit, I’m feeling a little bit nervous, but I’ve always wanted to do a skydive, and what better way to do it than by raising money for Cancer Research UK.”

Harry admits he’s not that nervous at the minute but knows, as the date gets nearer, his nervousness is bound to increase. “I would like to raise £500 for the charity but it would be amazing if we could smash this target! A big thank you to everyone who supports me and Cancer Research UK by donating.”
