KH Hair to pamper campers at Y Not Festival

Salons invite festival goers to glam up and glitter up in Rock ‘n’ Roll Retreat’s pamper lounge

Two KH Hair salons have been brought in by the organisers of this month’s Y Not Festival to glam up revellers in a luxury pamper lounge complete with make-up stations, hairdryers and ghds.

KH Hair’s Ashbourne and Tutbury salons, in partnership with Wella and ghd, will be on hand Friday through to Sunday in the pamper lounge at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Retreat to ensure campers can enjoy the festival looking and feeling totally glamorous.

Visitors to the lounge can choose their festival look, from a choice of braids, woollen braids, feathers and space buns and there will be plenty of glitter on hand to ensure they sparkle and shine while enjoying a fantastic line up of artists including Kasabian, Paul Weller and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

The salons’ co-director, Beckie Maznenko, says festival goers may be sleeping in tents but they’ll still be able to look like they’ve just stepped out of a salon. “Having just returned from a camping trip myself, I know how difficult it can be to keep looking and feeling fresh and fabulous.” she says. “Festival hair is a big part of the experience these days. Because of social media, revellers want to look their best and we are really looking forward to helping them do just that.

“Festivals are huge right now,” adds Beckie. They are great fun and safe for all the family. My daughter was just one year old at Y Not in 2022 and she absolutely loved it. You’re never too young or too old to enjoy the festival experience.”

In addition to the pamper lounge, The Rock ‘n’ Roll Retreat upgrade package gives campers access to a private area with hot showers and real flushing toilets. Festival hair appointments are by walk-in only and charges will apply.

The Y Not festival will take place at Pikehall, Derbyshire between Friday 28th and Sunday 30th July. Doors open at 12pm on Thursday 27th. Tickets, including upgrade packages, can be purchased from the Y Not Festival website.
