MARTIN’S TOP TIPS FOR WINTER HAIR CARE

After a gloriously long summer, the weather is beginning to turn and you can definitely feel a slight chill in the air. Some may think winter can be ‘the most wonderful time of the year’ but the cold weather and the turning up of the central heating can really play havoc with your hair.

We asked KH Hair Creative Team member, Martin, for his favourite in-salon products to help keep your hair hydrated and super shiny throughout the coming winter months. Here are his three top product recommendations:

1: System Professional Lipid Booster
This is a great hair product for the winter months. It will strengthen the hair, improve combability and smoothen. It is very good for damaged and bleached hair as it gives deep regeneration and creation of new bonds within the hair. It forms a protective barrier around the hair and instantly improves the feel. I love this product as it makes the hair look and feel great instantly and it gives a great shine for those Instagram shots! This treatment can be applied in salon and also used at home. You use it once a week and spray 10-12 pumps onto towel-dried hair, comb it through then blow dry as normal.

2: Nioxin Deep Protect Density Mask
This mask is great for protecting against the winter elements. It reduces breakage and leaves hair feeling conditioned, more manageable, and silky smooth. The mask deeply conditions dry and coloured hair and helps reduce thinning. After shampooing, work evenly through the hair. Leave on for three to five minutes and rinse well.

2: Sebastian Trilliant
This is also a great styling product for the winter months as it gives the hair protection against the elements and creates a beautiful shine. This can be sprayed onto wet or dry hair then styled as normal.
